Hello, I am the editor of Alpha’s Page and I have been compiling this spiritual philosophy since 2006. I am keen to share Alpha’s philosophy with you because it is a philosophy which has brought me a lot of joy and it has helped me to grow as a person. |

Why I love Alpha’s
philosophy
I tried a lot of different ways of looking at the world. I was brought up in a devout Christian family but was also exposed to so-called mediums and psychics. At university, I married an atheist and became an scientist, studying psychology and biology. I immersed myself in knowledge about fitness, nutrition, closeness to nature and positive thinking, all as a quest to help people feel good. In my early thirties, I learnt to silence my mind in meditation. After a variety of mystical experiences, I started to channel Alpha when I was about forty years old. His ideas are the loveliest I have tried, and they keep taking me deeper into a magical world of spirit.
How I come up with Alpha’s
philosophy
Alpha’s spiritual philosophy comes to me automatically and rapidly when I am in an altered state of consciousness (similar to meditation). I simply write it down or – in meetings – I speak it to the people around me. Some people call this process channelling (but you can call it whatever you like!). I call the source of the philosophy “Alpha” because he signs his writings with the character of the Greek alphabet known as alpha.
How to judge Alpha
Scientifically, I can't say whether Alpha is part of my personality, or a spiritual being which I receive through my own consciousness. Personally, I think he is a separate spiritual being because of the quality of the ideas and because of the effect he has on other people (causing strong atmospheres, trembling and channelling in those I sit next to when I channel). When asked who he is, Alpha has implied that he is the layer of God which can communicate, and that he prefers not to be given labels which have a history in our culture. He is quick to say that we should consider his ideas rather than judging what kind of source he is. It doesn’t matter whether the ideas come from Auntie Mary down the street or from an alleged supernatural being. If they are good ideas, they are good ideas and they will help to make you well.
When I receive Alpha, I usually sit down with a blank piece of paper in front of me, not knowing what I am going to write. That piece of paper then becomes “Alpha’s page.” Alpha would like everyone to get to the point where they can sit down with a blank mind or a blank piece of paper and hear his guidance. I hope I will see the day when Alpha’s website is redundant because everyone has become their own “Alpha’s Page”.
Keeping Alpha’s philosophy alive
Alpha’s Page is a dynamic philosophy. I am still writing it down. Keeping the channel open – in me or in other people - is at least as important as thinking about what he has already said. I hope we do not start to look at Alpha’s past writings as being definitive. My ability to capture his ideas in words is limited by my own intelligence and culture. It would be so much better if we all just keep aspiring for fresh inspiration from God.
How to open your own connection
You can open your own connection with God by learning to silence your mind, softening your mood, and uplifting your state of mind to the best you can imagine. Then imagine that you are showing God all your thoughts and feelings all the time. Over time, this is enough to establish a connection with God and to get personal experience of him.

I don’t want to try to sell Alpha like some kind of self-help merchandise. I want to present his work with the same joy as sharing a beautiful piece of art or literature. If I make a little money from selling this work, that would be nice, and will help to recoup the cost of making his work accessible. Alpha is not looking for a market share. He just wants to be available. Most of all, he wants you to know that he’s trying to reach you.
