When you ask for meaning, you activate your curiosity, and activate a part of your brain which is good at connecting with God. There may be no answer except the connection, and that is enough. If you already think you know the answer to things (that is, you already have some kind of internal narrative about why things happen), there is no curiosity, the connection with God is dampened, and there is separateness from God. Therefore, your internal narrative separates you from God. Engaging naively in the desire for meaning brings us closer to God and therefore closer to love (but not necessarily closer to answers!).
