The stillness of love

From time to time, I notice a build up of darkness in my aura and decide it is time to concentrate extra hard during meditation, to bring in enough light to shift the debris.  As usual, I focus on a point above my head for forty breaths, then go to the base of my body and focus on each chakra for forty breaths, working my way upwards from the base chakra  to my crown.  To tune into love, I call to mind a white cross which has been appearing above my head for a few years.

While I am concentrating on this white energy, I am always surprised by its stillness.  The darkness in my aura is restless, and I am naturally restless about wanting to get rid of it.  But the white light comes with such a profound changelessness that it is ironic.  How is this changeless, seemingly passive, energy going to repair anything?  And yet it does.  When the restless energy gets exposed to the white light, the darkness starts to fragment and finally gets sucked up, as if into a vacuum.  Such is the power of peace.
